LAURA
My name is Laura. I am 27 years old. I am a Mum of 2 boys. I am a huge pet lover. I am from the UK.
I want Merlin back because I sat down on Christmas eve of 2012 to watch the last episode and was totally shocked. It just didn't make sense and wasn't the usual Merlin magic. I was deeply shocked and it is always that last episode that drives me everyday at what we do here.
I am also a big fan of Doctor Who, The Musketeers, Sherlock, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, amongst others. But Merlin was different to anything I had ever come across before. Along the lines of Annis "There is something about you, Merlin. Something which gives me hope for us all."
My name is Vicki,I am from England UK. I have a Son and Daughter and two Grand Daughters.
From first seeing Merlin walking across the fields , and looking on in awe as he caught his first glimpse of Camelot in all it’s splendour, I was hooked. I remember feeling sad as season 1 ended and eagerly awaited season 2, I remember thinking, that no program had ever affected me like this.
I was devastated when it was announced that season 6 was canceled, but nothing could have prepared me for that ending on Christmas Eve 2012, still reeling from the shock, in January I was determined to do everything I could to bring Merlin back to our screens and I joined Laura’s page, In February I became Admin. Our journey so far has taken us to many places, we have laughed and cried, but never once has giving up been an option, and it never will be. I also love Sherlock, The Musketeers, and some modern shows, but nothing affects me like Merlin.
VICKI
My name is Carolyn. I have been married for 30+ years to the same man. John and I are parents to four of the most amazing beings ever. Two boys and two girls, a perfect set in every way.
My magical journey with Merlin began when my youngest son insisted we watch it together. He was spell bound by it and knew I would love it too since I have always been drawn to Celtic music, castles and ruins of such. My ancestors are of Scotch/Irish descent so perhaps that explains my fascination with all things medieval. Merlin has given me a connection to a time and place that speaks to my soul. When my son left for college, I would record it and he would travel home to watch it with me. It gave us something to share and pure enjoyment each week. I also believe people today are starving for the good, the romance, the honor and the gallantry that Merlin epitomizes. This phenomenon surpasses all boundaries of language, culture and location.
Along this journey, I have had the fortune of meeting these two incredibly talented and brilliant women, Laura and Vicki. Their passion is as strong as mine is and I love them dearly. Thank you for this opportunity to help bring back our beloved Merlin! My life is richer just by having the privilege of calling each of you ‘friend’.
