BRADLEY JAMES

Bradley James (born 11 October 1983) is an English actor from Exeter, Devon. He made his television debut in the ITV series Lewis in 2008 and is best known for portraying King Arthur (previously Prince Arthur) in the BBC television program Merlin.

Bradley is a fan of football and participates annually in sporting charity events. When he was younger, he wanted to be either a footballer or an actor. Bradley James first appeared in an episode of Lewis in 2008 and also played the part of Ben in the BBC Three drama Dis/Connected. He trained at the Drama Centre London. His breakthrough came when he was chosen to play Prince Arthur, who later becomes the legendary King Arthur, in the BBC One fantasy TV series Merlin.

 

Merlin (2008 - 2012)

Merlin is a British fantasy-adventure television programme, created by Julian Jones, Jake Michie, Julian Murphy and Johnny Capps and starring Colin Morgan in the title role. It was broadcast on BBC One from 20 September 2008 to 24 December 2012. The show is loosely based on the Arthurian legends of the young wizard Merlin and his relationship with King Arthur but differs from traditional versions. Bradley played King Arthur.

Lewis (2008)

Lewis is a British television detective drama produced for ITV. A spin-off from Inspector Morse, like that series it is set in Oxford. Bradley played Jack Roth.

Dis/Connected is a BBC Three drama pilot, written by Howard Overman. It starred Holliday Grainger, Cloudia Swann, Aml Ameen, Bradley James, Laura Aikman, Katrina Rafferty and Lucy Evans. Bradley played Ben.

Fast Girls (2012)

Fast Girls is a 2011 British drama film directed by Regan Hall and written by Jay Basu, Noel Clarke and Roy Williams. It stars Lenora Crichlow, Lily James, Bradley James, Noel Clarke and Rupert Graves. The film follows the story of two women as they become professional sprinters and join the British relay team for a World Championship event. The film was launched at the Toronto Film Festival in 2011, before having its world premiere in London on 7 June 2012. The film was released on 15 June in the United Kingdom.
